A Season of Celebration
The angel said to the shepherds, “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10
I must confess that I don’t always approach the Christmas season with joy. The rush to set out the decorations, purchase presents, and bake cookies can leave me feeling cranky rather than celebratory.
But from the angel’s visit to Mary to the Magi returning home, the biblical account of our Savior’s birth overflows with joy. Maybe my problem is that I don’t spend enough time relishing my Savior’s birth, meditating on the wonder of God becoming man.
At Dig Deeper, we want to make it easier for all of us to experience joy during the Advent season. So grab a cup of coffee or hot cocoa (and maybe a cookie or two), then read a devotion in our Dig into Christmas section each day of Advent.
We hope these devotions will ignite the flame of worship in your soul as we celebrate the people, songs, truths, and words associated with this glorious time of year.
