Introduction
As we study the lives of people in the Bible, we often see the words “but God….” At pivotal points in human history and in the lives of His people, God intervenes. Even in our darkest moments, the truth of “But God” endures. Nothing is too hard for Him. Nothing is beyond His sovereignty. He makes the impossible possible. He helps ordinary people do extraordinary things. He uses everything, even the worst situations, for our good and His glory.
We are weak, but God is strong.
We turn our backs on Him, but God never forgets us.
We are sinners, but God sent His Son to die for our sins.
We have divided hearts, but God gives us new hearts and writes His law on them.
We don’t know what to do, but God wrote our days in His book before one of them came to be.
